Cleaning expert shares '20/20 rule' that can help drivers declutter car for goodWhen decluttering their vehicle, LiquidTech advised drivers to follow the '20/20 rule', which can help them to easily determine which items they should keep or throw away. According to the company, drivers should throw away any item that they do not regularly use if they are able to source another for under £20 in the space of 20 minutes. By doing this, motorists can rest assured that any items that could come in handy at some stage in the future can easily be bought once they are needed. Another way that drivers can easily organise their vehicle's interior is by focusing on the glove compartment, with LiquidTech suggesting that it is typically one of the most cluttered parts of the vehicle. As a result, drivers cleaning their car should take out every item within the glovebox and only put in the most important things, such as vehicle documents, a notepad, and a first aid kit. Any remaining items could either be thrown away, particularly if they are not typically used, or placed in storage bins, which many vehicle accessory companies produce. Finally, LiquidTech suggested that drivers make sure to clean all surfaces commonly interacted with inside their car to prevent bacteria from forming and spreading. In particular, they should focus on making sure the controls, such as the steering wheel and handbrake, are thoroughly wiped with a microfibre cloth and multipurpose cleaning product. The seatbelts and upholstery can also be protected from bacteria by using a specialist shampoo and vacuuming. Source link Posted: 2025-01-28 15:14:18 |
