'Sad' reality of rift between Prince Harry and Royal Family revealed by expert | Royal | NewsPrince Harry has experienced fractured relationships with certain members of the Royal Family over the last few years since his bombshell decision to quit life as a senior royal in 2020. After he moved across the pond to California with his wife Meghan Markle, the Duke of Sussex did not hold back when it came to exposing what his life was really like as a working prince. In both the Oprah Winfrey interview, the docuseries Harry and Meghan, and in his memoir Spare last year, Prince Harry was quick to criticise life in the Royal Family as he hurled accusations against certain relatives, particularly his brother Prince William. While the prince remains on talking terms with his father King Charles, the relationship between Harry and William has not yet been repaired, with one expert believing that this will end up impacting Prince Harry’s two children Prince Archie, five, and Princess Lilibet, three. Although Harry’s children have a relationship with some of their British relatives, including Harry’s cousin Princess Eugenie and her two sons, this is not the case when it comes to their relationships with the majority of the Royal Family. Speaking to OK!, former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond said: "How curious, and sad, it will be for Archie and Lilibet if they grow up knowing they are part of one of the most famous families in the world — and yet they are estranged from almost all of them. “To know that their grandfather and uncle were both Kings, and they didn't know them." While both Harry’s children have been to the UK before, with Archie having spent his first few months living in his dad’s home country, they have spent almost all of their childhoods in California. Both Archie and Lilibet are believed to feel at home in Montecito, with Harry’s son having reportedly started at a local school in the area. Source link Posted: 2024-12-05 10:44:15 |
