All we know about PS Plus Extra June 2025 from date to predictions | Gaming | Entertainment

PlayStation Plus subscribers are counting down to the reveal of the new Extra and Premium games for June 2025.

After a disappointing couple of months for PS Plus Extra and Premium releases, Sony redeemed itself by announcing additional titles during its Days of Play event. This includes GTA 3 Definitive Edition, which joins PS Plus Extra today (June 10).

The next wave of PS Plus Extra and Premium games will be announced at 4.30pm BST UK time on the afternoon of June 11. The games will be available to download and install from June 17.

Of course, one of the new PS Plus Extra games has already been revealed ahead of this week's announcement.

Control spinoff FBC Firebreak has been confirmed as one of the games joining PS Plus Extra on June 17.

The game is described as a co-operative shooter set in Control's federal agency.

"As a years-long siege on the agency’s headquarters reaches its boiling point, only Firebreak – the Bureau’s most versatile unit –  has the gear and the guts to plunge into the building’s strangest crises, restore order, contain the chaos, and fight to reclaim control," reads the official description.

The first-person shooter supports teams of three, who must work together using various items and weapons.

In addition to FBC: Firebreak, Sony has announced plans to bring the original Deus Ex to PS Plus Premium in June. Hopefully more games will be announced for Premium, which has suffered from a lack of titles in recent months.

In terms of predictions, multiple fans believe Resident Evil Village will finally join Extra in June, or possibly Resident Evil 4 Remake.

While Resident Evil Village is always a popular pick on the predictions thread, the recent announcement of Resident Evil 9 Requiem makes it much more likely.

With Resident Evil Requiem launching next February, bringing Village to the service now would give fans plenty of time to get up to speed.

Likewise, Atomic Heart is tipped to appear on PS Plus, following the recent announcement of a sequel during the Summer Game Fest event.

That's on top of first-party picks, specifically The Last of Us Part 2, which has been a popular pick since the release of season 2 of the HBO show.
