According to The Athletic, Spurs are expected to decide on their new head coach next week, wasting little time amid preparations for the 2025/26 season. Brentford boss Thomas Frank is reportedly the early leading candidate, but the Lilywhites' shortlist will include multiple Premier League options.

The Athletic aren't the only outlet framing Frank as Tottenham's early top choice to replace Postecoglou in the hot seat, and it's easy to see why.

The 51-year-old has been linked with a heavyweight job for years after overseeing Brentford's rise to the Premier League and establishing them as a top-flight club.

Frank has showcased an ability to develop players to replace big-name exits, like Ivan Toney last summer, and an impressive tactical adaptability.

The Danish coach is already settled in London but won't come cheap, considering he has a release clause in his Brentford contract. Spurs would have had to pay Postecoglou a significant fee to part ways.

Marco Silva

Another manager who has made a name for himself in London is Marco Silva. The Portuguese boss has grown a reputation as a master tactician, bringing entertaining football to Fulham.

Silva was linked with Spurs back in April and will surely be in the club's thinking as a positive match in terms of their desired play style.
