Red Bull team principal Christian Horner has not ruled out making another driver change before the end of the season. The 51-year-old was recently quizzed on whether Yuki Tsunoda could be replaced by Isack Hadjar at some stage in the near future, and Brit remained coy in his response.

With McLaren thriving thanks to the good form of duo Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris, Red Bull appear to be weighing up whether to make a change sooner rather than later to provide Max Verstappen with the helping hand he requires.

The four-time world champion has lacked protection from Tsunoda so far this season, with the Japanese star struggling to get to grips with the RB21. The 25-year-old has not shied away from discussing his problems in adapting to the new car, and a driver shakeup may beckon once again.

Red Bull demoted Liam Lawson for Tsunoda after two races, but the pair have collectively scored seven points this season to underline their respective struggles. As such, questions have started to be asked about whether Hadjar could be considered as an alternative option.

Asked about the possibility of another change, Horner explained: “I think I’m going to take a leaf out of Flavio’s [Briatore] book and say, ‘I don’t want to answer it'. Look, it’s early days for Yuki. He’s still settling in. He’s been in Q3, scored points, he’s scored points from the pit lane.

“He’s had a few incidents as well, so he has a long way to go. We’ll decide. We’ve got plenty of time on our side." we only need to credit if it's their exclusive

Despite initially refusing to rule out calling time on Tsunoda’s stint as Red Bull’s second driver, Horner then threw his support behind the Japanese star and feels that he has shown enough potential to justify his decision. He continued: “I think the only thing that we can do is give him [Tsunoda] time and support and try and get a set-up that he’s got confidence in.

"Driving these cars is all about confidence, and that’s what he needs to find. I think he’ll get there. He’s fast. He’s just got to piece it all together. We keep seeing flashes of performance. We just need to see him put it all together. I think he’s capable of that."
