Nintendo Switch 2 to benefit from handy feature for forgetful fans | Gaming | Entertainment

Nintendo Switch 2 fans have been treated to new information about the upcoming console and its capabilities.

According to a new report, the console will benefit from the addition of a useful feature from the original Nintendo Switch.

As you can see from the tweet further down the page, the Switch 2 will launch with the handy 'Search for Controllers' feature that came with the original.

The Search for Controllers feature lets users find a lost JoyCon through the Switch 2 menu screen.

When activated, the Switch 2 JoyCons will vibrate and/or make a sound, which will help you find the JoyCons when they've gone missing.

Perfect for forgetful Switch 2 fans, you can see the feature in action by checking out the Stealth40K tweet below.

In a separate tweet, the same user points out that the Switch 2 will also limit video recording to 30 seconds like the original console.

Nintendo has demonstrated a number of new and returning Switch 2 features in the build up to launch.

This includes showcasing the GameCube controller, which can be used to play retro games via Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack.

Among other things, the Switch 2 GameCube controller features wireless support, and also utilises Nintendo's new GameChat function.

Fans will be able to try it out in full when the Nintendo Switch 2 makes its debut on June 5.

The console will launch alongside some fantastic games, including Mario Kart World, Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition, Fortnite, and Hogwarts Legacy. There are even rumours that Red Dead Redemption 2 could join the line-up.

Additional first and third-party games will be available in the weeks and months after launch, including Donkey Kong Bananza on July 17 and Metroid Prime 4: Beyond later in the year.

Nintendo will also release enhanced versions of existing Switch games, including upgraded editions of Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom.

The Switch 2 Enhanced games will feature improved visuals, smoother frame-rates and in some cases and new content.

Breath of the Wild, for example, comes with a companion app that provides information about each area and an improved map.
