GTA 6 on Nintendo Switch 2? Take-Two drops biggest Grand Theft Auto hint yet | Gaming | Entertainment

Rockstar Games parent company Take-Two Interactive has dropped the biggest hint yet that GTA 6 could appear on platforms other than PS5 and Xbox Series X.

Zelnick recently said that Grand Theft Auto 6 developer Rockstar often ports its games to other consoles at a later date, leading to speculation that PC and potentially even Switch 2 versions could follow.

Likewise, Zelnick recently told investors that Nintendo platforms are no longer for younger audiences only.

Speaking to investors about whether the company will support the Switch 2, Zelnick said: "Look, we've had obviously a long-standing relationship with Nintendo. And we've supported the platform when it made sense for the individual release.

"There was a time when Nintendo platforms are really geared at younger audiences, and that was reflected in our release schedule.

"And that - now today with Switch and potentially with Switch 2, the Switch device can support any audience. So, while we have nothing specific to report, we actually would fully expect to support Switch."

This is proof that adult-only games like GTA 6 wouldn't look out of place on a Nintendo console like the Switch 2.

Furthermore, Zelnick said that just because GTA 6 is currently only announced for PS5 and Xbox Series X, other versions could follow.

"With Civ 7 it's available on console and PC and Switch right away," Zelnick continues.

"With regard to others in our lineup, we don't always go across all platforms simultaneously. Historically, Rockstar has started with some platforms and then historically moved to other platforms."

As you can see from Trailer 1, Grand Theft Auto 6 takes place in the state of Leonida, which is based on Florida.

Rockstar explains: "Grand Theft Auto VI heads to the state of Leonida, home to the neon-soaked streets of Vice City and beyond in the biggest, most immersive evolution of the Grand Theft Auto series yet."

The previously released trailer gives fans a look some of the map locations as seen from the skies above. This includes locations based on the Florida Keys, as well as the beach and more.

The trailer also hints at a potential game-changing new feature for Grand Theft Auto 6, which will up the scale to never-before-seen levels.
