Your Samsung TV is about to look inferior, something better launching this week

The CES technology show will open its doors under the bright lights of Las Vegas this week and it's set to be another blockbuster event. This yearly showcase reveals what's to come over the next 12 months and, along with plenty of weird and whacky gadgets unveiled, it will also be a massive time for TVs. All the major manufacturers use CES to show off their upcoming goggleboxes, and Samsung is almost certain to join the party with the release of its supercharged 2025 screens.

The Korean firm is already top dog when it comes to TVs but things are likely to get even better if your telly is due an upgrade.

Each year, Samsung upgrades its range of tellies with screens that get bigger, brighter, faster and more intelligent, and we're expecting more pin-sharp updates to be revealed during CES 2025.

12 months ago, Samsung added a swathe of features to its 2024 range, including improved upscaling, brighter screens, bolder sound and intelligent updates such as AI Motion Enhancer Pro which solves common issues - such as ball distortion - when watching things such as football.

It's unclear what will be announced next, but we expect more AI to feature along with screens that offer immersive experiences, better ways to find contents and new designs that could be slimmer than ever. We're sure there will be few surprises mixed in along with futuristic concepts.

Samsung has confirmed that it will be holding an event on January 6, a day before exhibitions open for CES 2025 in Las Vegas.

Along with Samsung, LG is also expected to unveil its latest and greatest tellies. The company has already confirmed the official consumer launch of its first transparent screen - called the SIGNATURE OLED T - which looks more appealing that usual giant black screen placed in living rooms.

LG says that its SIGNATURE OLED T will go on sale soon in the US with more markets expected to follow soon.

We'll find out what else is in store for your next binge-watch in the coming days. Express.co.uk has taken the trip to CES in Las Vegas and will be bringing you all the news live from this event as it happens.

The show opens on Tuesday, January 7, but there will be plenty of news in the lead-up to the doors opening, so watch this space if you want to know what's going to be big in 2025.
