Sky issues 24-hour countdown to UK broadband users - act now or it will be costlyIf you want to slash your broadband bills you may need to act fast. Sky has been running some big money-saving offers since the start of the month but these epic discounts are ending tomorrow, January 29. In fact, Sky has now launched a countdown timer showing just how little time there is left to sign up and take advantage. That means there are just over 24 hours to cash in and get some blistering speeds at Sky's lowest-ever prices. Currently, there are still four big discounts to be bagged including 150Mbps downloads for £27 per month or you can opt for 300Mbps speeds and pay just £29. • SEE THE SKY DEALS HERE If that doesn't sound quick enough, Sky is also dishing out 500Mbps access (£33) and even ludicrous 1Gbps speeds (£43). HERE ARE ALL THE SKY DEALS Sky Full Fibre 150 Sky Full Fibre 300 Sky Full Fibre 500 Sky Full Fibre 1GB All of the deals above are based on a 24-month contract with £0 sign-up fee. It's also worth noting that not all areas of the UK will be able to access Full Fibre speeds. You can check if your area has this technology here. Of course, Sky isn't the only firm with deals available right now. Vodafone is also offering cheaper fibre speeds and BT has also cut prices in January. It's also worth checking out smaller local providers such as Hyperoptic and Community Fibre as these firms often have very fast speeds at much lower monthly costs than their bigger rivals. Finally, it's worth checking out what speeds you really need as you could end up paying more for downloads that are simply too quick. As a guide, a couple who watch the odd Netflix show and surf the web should be fine with speeds of around 700Mbps. Those with busy homes full of people working from home, streaming games and 4K movies might want to opt for 300Mbps and above. Source link Posted: 2025-01-28 15:17:58 |
