A desperate search is underway for a young woman and a child from South Wales who have not been seen since last Thursday.

South Wales Police said Chloe Rice, 20, and the young girl named Zara from Swansea, were last seen leaving their address in Townhill on Thursday December 12. The force has not released many further details.

A post on X read: "#HelpUsFind l Chloe Rice, 20 and Zara from #Swansea have been reported missing.

"Chloe and Zara were last seen leaving their address in Townhill on Thursday December 12.

"If you have seen Chloe or Zara , please contact us quoting reference, 2400416230 or 2400416231."

South Wales Police said in a statement: "Chloe Rice, 20, and Zara from Swansea have been reported missing and there is concern for their welfare.

"Chloe and Zara were last seen leaving their address in Townhill on Thursday, 12 December.

"If you have seen Chloe or Zara, please contact 101 quoting reference 2400416230 or 2400416231."
