OXO cube hack that stops mess and prevents lumps forming is a 'revelation'

A 'revolutionary' trick using a stock cube is said to prevent lumps from forming in your dishes within seconds.

The renowned OXO cube, famous for its quick flavour addition to meals, is particularly handy for busy parents.

However, unwrapping its foil can often be a messy affair during food preparation, leaving you with stained and strongly scented fingers.

This way of opening an OXO cube has been revealed as incorrect.

The cube's manufacturers claim that the silver foil packaging incorporates a useful method into its design.

This reportedly results in minimal mess as you crumble the stock cube, producing a lump-free powder.

Cooks are instructed to "unfold the flaps on each side of the cube", transforming it into a flat sachet shape and neatly crumbling the contents inside.

They are then asked to open it and pour the powder into the dish they're cooking.

The ingenious hack quickly went viral on social media, with many sharing this 'secret trick' and adding their own.

Various social media channels were amazed by the revelation shown on YouTube, claiming it revolutionised their cooking methods, reports MirrorOnline.

On the social media platform 'X', one user was astounded by a newfound method of using Oxo cubes, exclaiming: "I'm 54 yrs on this planet and never knew until today that you should squish an Oxo cube into a sachet type shape and simply tear off a corner and pour away - no bits of foil and no messy fingers. One gets wise with age one does."

Another individual shared their amazement: "I have just watched a video on how to open an Oxo cube.....yes really and it was a revelation!!! Bet you've been doing it wrong too!!!!"

A third person chimed in: "I don't remember seeing this before and now I'm planning tomorrow's dinner around an Oxo cube."

In 2020, The Mirror highlighted this culinary shortcut which gained popularity during lockdown, explaining: "The little foil packet has tabs on the sides, which you're actually supposed to lift up rather than rip like we usually do. Once you've opened them up you should carefully crush the stock inside the packaging."

It then turns into a little flat-packed parcel which makes it incredibly easy to pour into our food prep without any mess.

One fan wrote took to social media to say: "This technique transforms the cube into a neat, flat-packed parcel for mess-free use in cooking."

One fan took to social media to express their surprise: "I didn't know that either and yes I have probably used hundreds of them over the years."

Another added their endorsement: "Well cant believe it. I'm gobsmacked just tried it and it really works. I will never get OXO all over my fingers again."
