PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium subscribers are counting down to the reveal of the new games for July 2025.

The next batch of PS Plus Extra and Premium games will be revealed by Sony at 4.30pm BST UK time on the afternoon of July 9.

Most of the games will be available to download and play on July 15. Sony will remove six PS4 and PS5 games from the PS Plus Extra library on the same day. It will need to be a strong line-up to match the Xbox Game Pass titles for July.

Indeed, some heavy hitters will be removed from the service in July, including Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion.

The Final Fantasy 7 spinoff will be joined by Dying Light 2: Stay Human, as well as the superb Remnant 2.

Job Simulator, Vampire: The Masquerade Swansong and Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord will also be removed on July 15.

On a more positive note, Sony has already announced three of the games coming to PS Plus Extra and Premium this month.

Premium subscribers will be able to play classic vehicular combat games Twisted Metal 3 and Twisted Metal 4 on July 15.

The brand new day-one release Abiotic Factor will join the service the following week, coming to PS Plus on July 22.

The remaining PS Plus Extra and Premium games remain a mystery ahead of the official reveal.

With this in mind, some fans have been attempting to predict the line-up ahead of Sony's announcement.

In the monthly predictions thread on Reddit, multiple PS Plus Extra subscribers believe Mortal Kombat 1 will join the line-up on July 15.

The upcoming release of Resident Evil Requiem has resulted in Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil Village receiving countless picks in the predictions thread.

With the football season at an end, and the next entry in the series still a few months away, there's also a strong belief that EA FC 25 could make an appearance on PS Plus Extra.

Quite a few Ubisoft games are mentioned in the predictions thread, including The Crew Motorfest, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora and Assassin's Creed Mirage.

The usual suspects of Atomic Heart, Hades, Lords of the Fallen, Pacific Drive and various Yakuza/Like a Dragon games are also picked.
