Anti-ageing skincare doesn't always come cheap, especially when it's by a top-rated beauty brand such as Liz Earle. Looking out for discounts and deals is a smart way to stock up without spending a fortune and one great place to look is at high street retailer Boots.

Boots sometimes put on flash sales, discounting select products by impressive amounts online only. This week, Boots have reduced the Liz Earle Cleanse & Smooth Collection by £50, taking the price down to £39 but filled with products worth £89.

Another option is the Aveeno Face 4-Step Routine Bundle for Sensitive Skin, which costs £31.80 from Look Fantastic and is described as a nourishing and gentle skincare regime designed for sensitive skin.

Beauty buffs only have a few days to shop the deal, which ends July 8. The skincare set includes three Liz Earle products - the Cleanse and Glow Transforming Gel Cleanser 150ml, the Cleanse and Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser 200ml and 50ml of the Skin Repair Light Cream. Plus, two pure cotton cloths.

To buy the Hot Cloth Cleanser individually would set consumers back £33, so the other two items are essentially £3 each. Alternatively, the Clarins Cleansing Essentials Skincare Set has gone on sale for £27.20. It includes a cleansing oil, a foaming cream cleanser and a toning lotion and is being called 'excellent value for money'.

The Liz Earle skincare set is formulated to deeply nourish the skin, using rosemary, chamomile and cocoa butter to lift makeup and hydrate complexions. Those unsure of the type of cleanser they prefer, a hot cloth or a gel, can use this set as an opportunity to find out.

One shoppers said: "Love this set, I am a fan of Liz Earle. Lovely products and good for the skin." Another person pointed out the cream is ideal for holidays, writing: "Brilliant for travel and home. The day cream is straight in my travel bag and lasts ages. The cleanser is really good as I have large pores, and it does the job."

But, someone else was not pleased with the packaging and wrote: "I have deducted one star because it comes in a beautiful reusable box with a price sticker on the front, which, when removed, tore the front of the box. If this had been bought as a gift would have been spoiled."

A skincare set in a toiletry bag may make for a better choice for a gift - this Sunday Riley Weekend Getaway Set is £50 at Space NK. It includes items such as an eye cream, a face oil and a gel cream.

A fourth customer of the Liz Earle set hailed their skin 'smooth, clean and radiant', going on to comment: "Been using Liz Earl for around 12 months and colleagues have been commenting on how good my skin looks." Shoppers have until Tuesday to get the Liz Earle Cleanse & Smooth Collection for £50 cheaper.
