Bloody brawl breaks out at Royal Ascot as racegoers cry 'stop, stop' | Racing | Sport

Royal Ascot racegoers were left stunned and begging 'stop, stop, stop!" as two young men were left bloodied after an altercation at the event. Footage shared on social media shows two individuals throwing punches at each other at the Berkshire festival.

In a clip shared on Instagram, the suited and booted pair wildly throw punches at each other. One of them, wearing a cream suit and white shirt, is clearly punched in the face and begins to hunch over. He then attempts to continue hitting the other man but they grapple with each other before he is thrown to the floor. The individual remained on the floor for a couple of seconds before being pulled up by another person.

By this point, the chaotic scenes had drawn a relatively large crowd. Some people could be heard egging it on and another says: "Bro gave him some bangs."

However, others could be heard screaming "stop, stop, stop!"

After falling to the floor, the cream-suited man is punched again before another group attempt to calm the tensions. One man puts his arm up to the other aggressor to tell him to stop, with the individual obliging and walking away out of shot.

After being helped up, the man in the cream suit is seen with blood all over his face and hands. He then wipes some of the blood on his trousers and attempts to confront his rival again. However, he is held back by the group who attempted to stop the fight. The man then gestures with his arms out and shouts inaudibly. A member of the crowd assembled behind him tells him to stop and says: "You lost!"

It is unclear what started the brawl. While many people watched on as the scenes unfolded, others were left blissfully unaware. In the background of the video, people can be seen sat at tables enjoying a drink. They do not appear to look up or notice the fight at any time.

A tremendous week of racing is set to conclude tomorrow. Today's biggest story saw Time for Sandals surprisingly take top spot in the Commonwealth Cup, winning the prize for Harry Eustace.
