It is claimed the Reds received budget approval from their owners last week, paving the way for a deal to be done. Bayer Leverkusen are reportedly pushing for a transfer fee of around £126m but Liverpool are trying to bring that number down. The report suggests they are willing to shell out just over £113m to bring Wirtz to Anfield this summer.
