Plumes of smoke was seen billowing into the air over Bicester after reports of loud explosions near Bicester Heritage site. A local councillor told the Express that a large World War 2 era hangar was "ablaze".

Numerous reports from local residents on social media suggested a large emergency services presence at the scene. The exact nature of the incident is not yet known.

A local said on social media: "Just a heads up, folks: there's a massive fire currently ongoing at Bicester Heritage/Bicester Motion. Probably best to avoid that area, in order to let emergency services get through! Lots of smoke, small explosions and sirens right now.

"Hopefully nobody gets hurt!"
