'I've just read amazing romance book I can't stop thinking about' | Books | Entertainment

A woman has taken to TikTok to share how she was “freaking out the whole time” over her “first six-star read of 2025”.

Gretch said that she was texting all of her friends as she was reading it, recommending it to them, saying it was a “need” for them to read it.

She then joked that she was “crashing out” when she found out that “book two won’t be available until November”.

So, what’s the book which has Gretch in such a chokehold?

It’s Heavenly Bodies by Imani Erriu, but what does Goodreads say about it? It’s rated 4.02, and a description reads: “In a world where no entities exist but the Stars, cruel and merciless gods that watch over the world, Elara has been cursed by fate. A prophecy that promises she will fall for a Star, and it will kill them both.

“But when one descends to wreak havoc on Elara's Kingdom, she is forced to flee into the arms of her enemy in the neighbouring country.

“As she learns more about her own magic, and the depth of the Stars' deceit, she also finds herself learning more about the country she is forced to take refuge in, and the enemy prince forced to train her into a weapon.

“Something dark brews within her, a power made of night and shadows that begs to be broken free.”

Gretch said that she could “not stop thinking about this book,” saying that it has “everything you would want out of a book if you are a romantasy reader” and she described it as “insane”.

She said that the book contains “elements of Greek mythology and astrology,” which are two things she “loves” so she said “having the two things together in one book was the best thing to read”.

She explained the plot, saying that the romantic “tension” between two of the characters was “just so good” because there was an enemies-to-lovers trope running through it too, with plenty of “banter”.

Gretch said that the book does “such a good job with the world building,” and it’s paced perfectly.

She described it as an “all encompassing story that you just immediately get sucked into”.

She also likened it to Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas, so if you enjoyed that, she reckons you’ll love this, and she did point out that it’s “still incredibly original”.

At the end of the video, she asked for recommendations of similar books, too, highlighting how much she loved it.
