Meghan Markle has revealed why she was rejected from beauty adverts in an in-depth chat with IT Cosmetics co-founder, Jamie Kern Lima.

Speaking in a recent episode from her own podcast, Confessions of a Female Founder, Jamie spoke of her rosacia and how it inspired her brand - with the 43-year-old royal then sharing her own skin struggles. Meghan told Jamie that her freckles - which she has previously shared that she loved growing up - were the thing that limited her chances in beauty adverts. Meghan said: "When I was auditioning for commercials, I remember my commercial agent could not submit me for beauty or skincare ads because I had freckles. They were like 'No, no. It's just never going to work because freckles aren't a sign of beauty."

She then added: "You couldn't see yourself reflected there."

Speaking to Women’s Health, Meghan was previously asked what she sees when she looks in the mirror. Confidently replying, the mum-of-two said: "Freckles. And I love them."

Not shying away from expressing her favourite feature, Meghan is frequently seen embracing her natural beauty.

As well as Jamie appearing on Meghan's podcast, the former working royal also appeared on her podcast - with the two episodes airing on the same day.

Speaking on The Jamie Kern Lima Show, Meghan joined to discuss everything from her experiences in motherhood to self-improvement.

Appearing make-up free, Meghan and Jamie carried out thier discussion in rocking chairs. Today, May 11, she has taken to her Instagram account to share a picture of her two children - Prince Archie, 6, and Princess Lilibet, 3.

Meghan, who recently celebrated her son's sixth birthday, was seen hugging her children close - with the former actress referring to her children as her "two gems".
