Garden furniture set that 'looks more expensive'

The sun is shining, flowers are starting to blossom, and the UK is forecast to see highs of 24C next week. So, if you’re thinking about revamping your garden, introducing a seating area could be a fantastic idea.

Imagine savouring your morning brew outdoors or dining with your family under the stars. Rattan sofas and large patio furniture have been all the rage in recent years, but if your garden is on the smaller side or there’s just two of you at home, these larger options might feel a bit much.

Three-piece sets may require a little more hunting, but some delightful options are available online.

Greenhurst’s Garden Patio Bistro Set, typically retailing at £99.99, is currently reduced to £79.99 in a limited-time deal, according to Gloucestershire Live. Available in either bronze antique or gun metal grey finishes, the set has been discounted on Yimbly, an online marketplace owned by Express.co.uk's parent company, Reach PLC, reports Leicestershire Live.

Plus, delivery on your first order is free. The Garden Patio Bistro Set, with a rose pattern design, includes two chairs and a small round table. Made from UV-stabilised polyurethane designed to mimic iron, this set promises durability and weather resistance.

The chairs measure 46 cm wide, 43 cm deep, and 89 cm high, while the table stands 66 cm high and has a diameter of 69cm.

Wowcher is currently offering a sleek Rattan Garden Furniture Set at the bargain price of £74, slashed from £199. The set includes a stylish rectangular-shaped coffee table, two cosy seats, and a welcoming two-seater sofa, with a choice of chic black, grey or brown finishes.

For those seeking a more intimate outdoor experience, Dunelm presents the Singapore Hanging Egg Chair priced at 199. Coming in either a soft cream or rich brown option, this cushioned cocoon provides an ideal retreat for garden reading sessions or simply basking in the sunlight.

Customers have been singing praises for Yimbly's Garden Patio Bistro Set, with one beaming reviewer stating: "I've never seen such a prettier or well-made polyurethane Bistro Set as this one. It's extremely sturdy, I chose the bronze one, and I'm absolutely delighted with it!" Echoing the sentiment, another added: "Really good quality set and great value for money."

Nevertheless, the product didn't meet everyone's expectations. Voicing their concern, a third customer commented: “The set does look really lovely in my garden, but it isn't well made at all. It's also quite flimsy, especially the table, which is very light and wobbly. I get strong winds where I live, and the table will be flying in 50mph winds. Had issues with one of the chair's backs, which didn't align with the seat, but the issue was dealt with by very friendly customer service. I personally would buy the metal version if you don't get lots of rain to rust it, as I do.” [SIC]

The popular patio set, a hit amongst buyers, can also be snatched up at Sports Direct for £97.99. Delighted shoppers rave about it, with one saying: “Light to carry and move about, but sturdy to sit on and at the table. I am buying a second set this year for another place in the garden. Bought in the sale this time as the price had gone up from last year. Weathers well.” [SIC]

Another chuffed customer highlighted its value for money: “It looks so much more expensive than it was.”
