Wetherspoon heartbreak as fans 'nearly cry' after popular meal missing from menu

Fans have been left heartbroken after one of Wetherspoon's most beloved dishes has disappeared from the menu across the UK. The £6.49 chicken bites are listed as 'temporarily unavailable' across pubs in England, Scotland and Wales, leaving fans confused and even close to tears.

Soeculation has already started on Reddit as fans ponder why the chicken bites are now unavailable. On a board titled 'Where have the Chicken breast bites gone?!'. A spokesperson for Wetherspoons said: “We can confirm that they are currently not available on the menu in our pubs".

Wetherspoon fans shared their disappointment over the news, with one visitor, Rory, saying he "nearly cried" when he couldn't order them.

The dish has been a longstanding staple on the bargain pub chain's menu, featuring ten crispy chicken bites with chips and an array of sauces.

One regular who goes "every week" to enjoy the same meal said it was the first time it had not been available since her devotion to the food began.

Another devastated customer shared on social media it was the "worst day ever," adding "rip Wetherspoons chicken bites".

One diner was left "devastated", while another added it was "the one and only thing" they eat on a night out.

Wetherspoon has confirmed the meal is not available in pubs in Scotland, England and Wales.
