Air fryers will have been put to good use over the Easter holiday, whether you were using them to cook some crispy roast potatoes or bake some iconic creme egg cookies. However, you may have found that they can get pretty dirty quickly and require a cleaning. Most air fryers have nonstick-coated baskets or grates to keep food from sticking; however, more often than not, grease and burn-on foods love to remain attached.

While many people opt to use steel wool or other extremely abrasive dish scrubbers on stuck-on food stains, these will scratch and damage the coating, which makes it more likely for food to stick the next time. Another option is to leave your air fryer baskets soaking in hot, soapy water, however, this takes up a lot of time. Instead, cleaning influencer @cleaningwithdanielled on TikTok has found an “impressive” item that makes cleaning your air fryer “quicker and easier” - Astonish Specialist Air Fryer Cleaner.

Danielle captioned her air fryer cleaning video: “Waiting for the air fryer to soak has always been a pain for me. My kitchen either stinks from soaking in boiling water, or I always forget to go back to it.

Explaining how this product works, Danielle said: “You don’t have to fill it [the air fryer baskets] up with boiling water, you don’t even have to leave it to soak, you just simple spray and wipe.

Demonstrating how to use the product, Danielle sprayed the air fryer grates and baskets with the Astonish spray and ran them under the tap.

The “burnt-on stains instantly melted away” after running them under the tap - no scrubbing or soaking involved.

Taking to the comments section, many cleaning fans were left impressed by the results of this product, and one user even found success using it too.
