Beaming Princess Eugenie executes perfect curtsy to King Charles at Easter Sunday Service | Royal | News

A beaming Princess Eugenie executed an impressively low curtsy to King Charles as she attended the Easter Sunday church service in Windsor. King Charles and Queen Camilla stepped out to lead the service today. Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie dazzled as they smiled and waved to Royal fans. They attended alongside their husbands, Edoardo and Jack.

Beatrice, 35, who wowed in a gorgeous white belted Reiss coat and a veiled hat for the occasion, has received praise for her perfect courtesy when formally greeting her uncle, Charles, as he and Camilla arrived at St George's Chapel. It is common practice that all members of the royal family, including those with His/Her Royal Highness (HRH) titles, bow or curtsy to the monarch and his wife when greeting them for the first time that day.

Her sister Beatrice, who donned a forest green Beulah London midi dress, was also seen dipping into a curtsy.

The royal sisters were joined at the royal event by Princess Anne, Vice Admiral Sir Timothy Laurence and the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh. Prince Edward and Sophie's son, 17-year-old James, Earl of Wessex.

Royal fans were surprised to see Prince Andrew, the beleaguered royal, who was absent from the Firm's Christmas celebrations at the end of last year, usually attends the Easter Mattins service as it is considered a private family event rather than an official engagement.

The Duke of York arrived in a car with his ex-wife, Sarah, Duchess of York, aswell as his sister, The Princess Royal and his brother-in-law, Vice Admiral Sir Timothy Laurence.

His arrival comes as a surprise after the furore over the Andrew’s links with alleged Chinese spy Yang Tengbo.

When the row first emerged, Andrew and Sarah made the decision to not attend the traditional Christmas gathering at Sandringham with the rest of the Royal Family.

The Prince and Princess of Wales did not attend for the second year in a row, as they were also absent last year after Princess Kate, who is now in remission, was diagnosed with cancer.

This year, William and Kate opted to miss the major event to spend time with their children in Norfolk. A source told the Mirror earlier this week: "They are choosing to spend time together as a family before the children go back to school."
