IKEA's game-changing furniture is built for PlayStation and Xbox fans

The furniture fanatics at Ikea reckon they’ve come up with the perfect solution if you spend hours glued to your console. The famous flatpack firm is launching 20 new “BRÄNNBOLL” products that have been created just for gamers. Coming to stores later this year are ergonomic chairs and inflatable seats designed to support you when bashing away on those buttons.

Along with comfy chairs to stop your bum from going numb, there are also accessories - such as gaming rugs - and storage solutions to hide away all those extra controllers and libraries of CDs.

There’s even a dedicated gaming station which comes equipped with a foldable tabletop, integrated PC tower storage and tidy cable management. Ikea also says it’s doing away with boring designs with a more colourful look coming to all of its new products.

“With BRÄNNBOLL, we are embracing the idea that gaming is for everyone and belongs everywhere in the home. It’s about making it simple for people to create spaces that adapt to gaming, living, and everything in between,” says Philip Dilé, Product Design Developer at IKEA of Sweden, and continues: “We hope this collection will encourage friends and families to engage together, bringing joy and connection through shared gaming experiences.”

The range is expected to arrive this September.

Along with IKEA, there's another new accessory coming soon for gamers. Yes, you can feel what it’s really like to race against Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton and you don’t even have to leave your home.

The new Playseat Formula Intelligence F1 Edition gaming chair features a monocoque design and authentic F1 racing position that’s been endorsed by real Formula One drivers.

There’s an integrated monitor mount, full compatibility with popular steering wheels and famous F1 branding.

You might just need an F1 racer’s salary to afford it’s £2,149 asking price though.
