F1 LIVE: Max Verstappen calls for investigation as Lewis Hamilton sends frank message | F1 | Sport

Max Verstappen wants Red Bull to investigate his issue with braking.

The Dutchman struggled to keep up with the pace-setters during qualifying. He eventually qualified in P7 and looks a mere outsider for today’s race.

Verstappen’s car has struggled with inconsistency and he wants Red Bull to look into the problem.

“Yeah, it was tough – tough all weekend, I think,” Verstappen said.

“For whatever reason I’ve been struggling with the brakes, the feeling also, feeling retardation, so it’s something that we need to investigate.

“And then general grip, I guess, throughout the lap, [it was] quite inconsistent, and then of course that makes it very hard to understand what you actually need from the car when, for whatever reason, we can’t seem to make the tyres work.”
