Argos offers big reason to ditch your Galaxy Watch and get something better

Anyone who wants to join the smartwatch revolution - or fancies upgrading what they already own - might fancy taking a quick trip to Argos this week. The UK retailer has just announced the launch of its Big Red Spring Sale event and it includes a whopping discount on the ultimate Galaxy Watch Ultra.

One of the most obvious changes is its design with the Ultra featuring a rugged case that's made from titanium. If you are prone to accidents or love going off the beaten track this might be a better option with Samsung saying that its Ultra is the "toughest Galaxy Watch ever".

Along with looking stronger, it also gets better water resistance and can cope with being taken to higher altitudes along with surviving greater changes in temperature. So, should you end up trekking to the top of a mountain and things drop to -20 degrees the Ultra will keep on working.

Another addition to this device's case is the Quick Button. This is similar to the Action Button on the Apple Watch Ultra and takes you to your favourite apps and other features with just a simple tap. That means you can launch a workout or start a run without scrolling through endless menus on the big and bright display.

Other Ultra extras worth mentioning include an in-built alarm that blares out a loud sound should you get in trouble need some help. There's also a special night mode which turns the display black and red, plus there is highly accurate GPS for pinpoint location accuracy.

If you are worried about charging, this premium Galaxy Watch also gets some impressive battery stats with it capable of lasting for up to 100 hours before needing a refill.
