Arman Tsarukyan appeared to throw a punch at a fan at UFC 300 but was quickly restrained by security staff. The individual who provoked the fighter's wrath remains unidentified, as does the cause of Tsarukyan's outburst.

Regardless of his loss of cool in the pre-match events, Tsarukyan managed to maintain his focus and secure a win against Charles Oliveira in what was a closely fought contest. To the winner's credit, he now boasts a record of 22 victories to just three losses.

The fight between Tsarukyan and Oliveira was part of the main card for UFC 300, which proceeded Justin Gaethje's bout with Max Holloway, as well as the women's strawweight championship between Zhang Weili and Yan Xiaonan. Furthermore, light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira went head-to-head with Jamahal Hill in the highly anticipated headline fight.

The Armenian fighter has been in the UFC circuit since 2019 and has taken part in major pay-per-view events including UFC 240, UFC 257 and the recent UFC 300. Previously in March, he shared his excitement on the UFC website.

He said: "Finally, I got what I wanted. UFC 300 is the biggest fight and I want to fight on that day. It’s so exciting. There are a lot of big fights, but the No. 1 contender fight is me versus Charles. That’s it."

Tsarukyan added: "I feel like it’s my time right now. It’s so exciting because he (Oliveira) is a former champion and he’s defended, and when I beat him, people are going to talk about me. ‘Who is this kid?’ Everybody is going to know me."

Tsarukyan is now eyeing the lightweight title, currently in the possession of Islam Makhachev. The latter claimed the title by defeating Oliveira at UFC 280 in October 2022 and has since defended it with consecutive victories over Alexander Volkanovski.
