Earlier this week, royal fans noted that Meghan Markle's hand-written note to influencer Amanda Hirsch featured her royal cypher in the centre top of the card, featuring the letter 'M' with a crown. The results of an Express.co.uk poll which asked the question 'Should Meghan Markle be allowed to use a royal cypher?' show the overwhelming majority of readers believe Meghan should not be using such a symbol.

Poll results show a huge 99% of readers (4,369) who voted in the poll think the Duchess of Sussex should not use the royal cypher, with just 1% (51) believe Meghan should be allowed to use it. Only nine readers voted 'Don't know', in our Express.co.uk poll which posed the question.

This month, Meghan Markle, released her series 'With Love, Meghan' which received a mixed reaction from viewers and fans - both positive and negative. Influencer Amanda Hirsch took to social media to share, "You guys I’m scared for Meghan", speaking of the comments she had received.

After being made aware of Amanda's post, Meghan decided to send her a note, which read: "Dear Amanda, I heard you were feeling scared. Don't be. This is the fun part - let's enjoy it." She then signed off with the phrase "As ever, Meghan."

Although Meghan used the royal cypher at the top of her note to Amanda, it is something that she has previously done since stepping down as a senior working royal in 2020.

One Instagram user wrote under the letter posted by the influencer: "Doesn’t wanna be 'Royal' but has a crown on her personal stationery?"

Another wrote: "Why does her monogram have a crown? This woman loves cashing in on the Royal Family while hating them and everything they stand for. GROSS."

A third wrote: "Tiara at the top of her stationary - give me a break."

Another social media user said: "Crowned M on the stationary? She lost that privilege when she stepped down."

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex made the decision to step away from royal duties in early 2020. The couple now reside in Calfornia with their children, Prince Archie, five, and Princess Lilibet, three.

During the shows' episodes, we see the Duchess share some of her tips and tricks for cooking, gardening, crafting, and more, as she hosts her friends at a rented property in her neighbourhood.

'With Love, Meghan', only features Prince Harry for several minutes out of the eight episodes. Two days after the launch, Netflix confirmed that Meghan will be back with season two this autumn.

The details of the upcoming series haven't been shared just yet, but it's likely there will be plenty more cooking and hosting inspiration.
