Keanu Reeves returns as John Wick in action-packed new movie trailer | Films | Entertainment

Back in 2023, Keanu Reeves bowed out of his iconic assassin role in John Wick: Chapter 4.

We saw him dying and even his gravestone, but fans are convinced the character could still be alive. After all, John Wick 5 is in the works!

In the meantime, John Wick 3.5 is set to be released next year as a spin-off called Ballerina.

The film is set during the events of John Wick: Chapter 3—Parabellum (six months prior to Chapter 4) and follows Bond girl Ana de Armas as Eve Macarro, a dancer turned assassin.

In the new explosive trailer, we see Ian McShane reprising Continental manager Winston Scott alongside the late Lance Reddick, who died just before the release of John Wick Chapter 4 aged 60.

His character Charon also died in the fourth movie, but he shot his scenes for the prequel spin-off Ballerina in 2022.

Alongside Anjelica Huston, reprising The Director from the third film, Norman Reedus joins the cast as a mysterious man called Pine.

And, of course, Reeves himself returns as Wick to confront the Ballerina, but we wouldn’t be surprised if they didn’t team up in John Wick 5.

From the World of John Wick: Ballerina hits UK cinemas on June 6, 2025.
