Underrated Soulslike is free to download and keep with no strings attached | Gaming | Entertainment

The latest Epic Games Store giveaway features a surprisingly decent Soulslike with an interesting gameplay mechanic.

From now until March 20, Epic Games Store customers can redeem Mortal Shell for free.

All you've got to do is visit the Epic Games Store, login to your account and redeem Mortal Shell from the store page.

Once you've added Mortal Shell to your account, it's yours to download and keep, no strings attached.

In addition to Mortal Shell, Epic Games Store customers can redeem a bonus pack for World of Warships.

The Anniversary pack contains bonuses like free cruisers and credits, not to mention camo and XP.

As for Mortal Shell, the game features similar punishing gameplay to action adventures like Dark Souls.

The twist, however, is that you can inhabit different bodies (shells) for a more varied gameplay experience.

Epic explains more: "Mortal Shell is a deep action-RPG that tests your sanity and resilience in a shattered world. Your adversaries spare no mercy, with survival demanding superior awareness and precision.

"Possess lost warriors, discover hidden sanctums, and face formidable foes."

Epic Games Store customers have until 4pm on March 20 to redeem Mortal Shell, which will be replaced by a new game.

Next week's free game giveaway is Jurassic World Evolution 2, which lets players set up their own dino park.
