Apple releases 'important' iPhone update - check your settings immediately

If you own an iPhone, it's vital that you check your settings and download the very latest version of Apple's operating system. The US technology giant has confirmed it's released an 'important' upgrade overnight, which fixes a number of bugs and security glitches.

Apple has also confirmed that iOS 18.3.2 solves an issue that could prevent some streaming content from playing properly - so, if you have experienced your boxsets stuttering, this is definitely a release you will want to install.

"iOS 18.3.2. This update provides important bug fixes and security updates, and addresses an issue that may prevent playback of some streaming content," Apple confirmed in its notes.

This is not one of Apple's major iOS upgrades, so don't expect any shiny new features or design changes. However, it will make sure your iPhone is safe from security issues and will stop any glitches affecting your device.

To install iOS 18.3.2 simply head to the Settings and tap General > Software Update.

Here, you'll see the download and a blue bar which says "Update Now".

The install is around 800MB in size, and your device may need to restart after it's been downloaded.

If that's not convenient, then there is also the option to "Update Tonight" which will fix the glitches when you are asleep.

Just make sure you update your device using one of these two methods or else it may continue to have streaming issues and won't have that latest security installed.

"Keeping your software up to date is one of the most important things you can do to maintain your Apple product's security," Apple added.
