Rescuers rush to find survivors after deadly mall roof collapse in Peru

A massive roof collapsed on Friday night at a shopping centre in Trujillo, Peru.

The disaster left four dead, according to the Peruvian Fire Department. Health authorities reported that 71 people are receiving treatment, with 11 in critical condition, and rescue operations are ongoing as there may still be survivors under the debris.

Authorities believe rain and humidity weakened the roof, which fell on the centre's food court.
