A massive new resort featuring 2,000 rooms and around 250-holiday lodges is soon to be built in a beautiful UK spot. 

PEAK Resort, a new Center Parcs-style resort, plans to offer world-class services, luxury accommodations, outdoor activities, wellness retreats, and eco-friendly tourism. 

The project has been in development for several years and is expected to be built in the Peak District in phases, with some parts already operational. 

It is one of the UK's most ambitious tourism projects, aiming to create a sustainable, world-class resort that supports local employment and economic growth.

Spanning 300 acres, PEAK Resort includes up to 2,000 hotel rooms, 250 holiday lodges, restaurants, retail spaces, wellness clinics, and a range of outdoor activities.

Designed as a hub for walking, cycling, and adventure sports, the resort will integrate sustainable transport solutions to reduce car usage in the area.

A potential indoor ski slope and other adventure sports facilities are likely to be opened for the travellers, making it an ideal holiday destination. 

Tourists can take advantage of spa retreats and wellness centers for relaxation and health-focused tourism. Fitness centers, yoga, and meditation spaces have been designed for holistic well-being.

The website for the development reads: "PEAK proposes to bring the scope and services of internationally successful ski resorts to create the UK’s equivalent for biking, hiking and other adventure sports as well as for nature, culture and heritage experiences."

The project is expected to sustain thousands of jobs and enhance the regional economy.

Councillor Tricia Gilby, leader of Chesterfield Borough Council, had said: “PEAK Resort offers a fantastic opportunity to bring more visitors into Chesterfield, grow our local economy and create a range of new jobs.

“It will be an incredible asset for our borough and will be a national leader in respect of clean energy, zero carbon mobility and skills. I look forward to seeing this development take shape over the next few years.”

The resort has been strategically located near the M1 motorway for easy road access. It is close to Chesterfield railway station, with links to major UK cities.
