Meghan Markle plants kiss on Prince Harry as he opens Invictus Games | Royal | News

Meghan Markle has been spotted sharing an intimate kiss with Prince Harry just hours before the opening ceremony of the 2025 Invictus Games.

Reportedly confirming her appearance shortly before flying to Canada, Meghan stepped out on stage alongside Harry, 40, as he gave a speech to cheers ahead of the official start of the Games.

Standing behind Harry, Meghan can be seen sporting a long brown dress in a video obtained by The Sun.

In one clip, which appeared to have been captured by an attendee in the audience, Meghan, 43, can be seen planting a kiss on her husband as he took to the stage.

Acknowledging the cheering crowd, Harry was then seen putting his hands up in astonishment.

Meghan's decision to attend is understood to underscore her support for her husband and the mission of the Invictus Games.

During her appearance, Meghan's main focus will be on uplifting Harry, the competitors and sharing their stories.

Meghan has long been by Harry's side at major events for the Games, with their first public appearance in 2017 taking place at the Games in Toronto.

It is understood that their two children - Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet - are being looked after at home in California whilst Meghan and Harry are in Canada.

The Invictus Games is an international multi-sport event, which was founded by Harry.

The event is aimed at wounded, injured and sick Armed Forces personnel and veterans.

After attending the Warrior Games in America in 2013 - as well as understanding the impact of his own deployment in Afghanistan - Harry felt inspired to launch the Invictus Games in 2014.
