An 89-year-old grandma has been making her country's national dish for decades – Spanish omelette.

Grandma Trini describes the delicacy as “the crown jewel of Spanish cuisine". Over time, she's developed all the techniques she needs to make the potato and eggs exceptionally delicious. This includes a hack to flip the omelette perfectly every time – without breaking it.

And when she showed off her skills on TikTok, people were quick to take notes. First, you'll need to get the correct ingredients.

For her recipe, you'll need two large waxy potatoes, eight eggs, an onion and a generous sprinkling of salt. You should also have a pan big enough to hold these ingredients when they're chopped and added to the egg.

The hardest part of the recipe is flipping the omelette without breaking it – but Grandma Trini has completely mastered it.

She throws the half-cooked egg mixture against a plate of Duralex crockery, which is common in many Spanish homes.

Then she carefully tips it back into the pan to cook on the other side – keeping the entire omelette in tact! And it's safe to say people were impressed.
