Meghan Markle quit life as a senior royal in 2020 but continued to publicly reflect on it for several months.

Since moving across the pond back to her home country of America with her husband Prince Harry, 40, five years ago, the duchess has not held back from making a number of claims against the Royal Family.

As well as the 2021 Oprah Winfrey interview, Meghan also participated in the Netflix docuseries Harry & Meghan, released by the couple more than a yeah after the high-profile sit-down to tell their side of the story once again.

In the docuseries, Meghan spoke about a number of restrictions she said to have faced as a result of being married to Harry, and even claimed she had to be careful with the colour of her outfits.

Discussing this on the docuseries, which aired in 2022, Meghan said she wore a basic colour palette of "camel, beige" and "white" to avoid clashing with the outfits of more senior royals, including the late Queen.

During one episode of the docuseries, Meghan said: "To my understanding, you can't ever wear the same colour as Her Majesty if there's a group event.

"But then you also should never be wearing the same colour as one of the other more senior members of the family."

However, just weeks later, this was disproved by the Princess of Wales and Zara Tindall as they attended Kate’s Together At Christmas carol service in 2022.

Princess Kate chose to wear a festive deep burgundy coat with two striking buttons by designer Eponine London to the service, with Zara also wearing a similar colour coat.

This went against the point put forward by Meghan, as Kate and Zara wore an almost identical colour, despite the fact the princess is in a much more senior royal position.

Over the years, the Princess of Wales, 43, has disproved this time and time again as she has also been seen wearing identical colours to her daughter Princess Charlotte, nine.

The Royal Family has never officially commented on the alleged outfit rule.
