TSB giving customers £160 free cash and ‘double cashback’ | Personal Finance | Finance

TSB is giving customers up to £160 free cash and "double cashback" for switching to one of its accounts.

Customers who apply for a new TSB Spend & Save account or Spend & Save Plus account through the bank’s website, app, or in-branch using the Current Account Switch Service will be given a free £100 bonus.

You need to make at least five payments using the debit card on your new account, log into the TSB Mobile Banking App at least once and complete a full switch request before March 14, 2025 to get the freebie.

Those who meet this criteria will see £100 credited to their account between March 28 and April 11, 2025.

As an added bonus, TSB is giving customers £10 cashback every month for up to six months, meaning those who stay with the bank until September 2025 will earn an extra £60 on top of the switching bonus.

Normally the bank only gives £5 cashback per month so customers have the opportunity to cash in with this limited "double cashback" offer.

TSB says you must make 20 or more payments - of any value - per month using your debit card in the first six months of opening your account to qualify for the cashback. Any cashback that you earn will then be automatically paid into your account in the next calendar month.

Customers who remain with the bank for six months will also be rewarded with a treat of their choice in September 2025 as a thank you for staying.

Those who are eligible can choose from three TSB Partnership Rewards including a hotel stay for two, Odeon cinema tickets for three months,or a NOW Entertainment six-month membership.

The bank said: “Switch for up to £160, and get a treat for staying. Get £100 for switching, then earn £10 cashback each month for up to six months - that’s double cashback! And, if you stay until September 2025, you’ll get to choose from three treats.

“First step is to open a TSB Current account. Complete the Switch form to start the process. We guarantee switching your current account to us will only take seven working days.

“In the unlikely event there are any hiccups, we’ll refund any interest and charges on your old or new current account.”
