Africa's top 10 countries with the highest life expectancy - full list | World | News

Life expectancy is often used as a measure of economic development and social stability.

It is often an indicator of the quality of available healthcare, access to proper nutrition, and the general living conditions of a population.

The average life expectancy of Africans in 20024 was 64.38 years, an increase of 0.45% on the previous year.

This increase is mostly a result of better healthcare infrastructure and access to vaccines, as well as advancements in the fight against diseases such as malaria, HIV/AIDS, and tuberculosis.
