Stains are inevitable in many areas around the bathroom, but toilet seats, particularly toilet seats, even those cleaned regularly.

The Instagram video was captioned: “Professional cleaner’s secret for stubborn yellow toilet seat stains. No bleach. No scrubbing.”

They added: “Just two natural ingredients! They break down into water and oxygen so they are totally safe to use and flush away.”

So what is it? It’s baking soda and hydrogen peroxide. The expert noted, “Together, they make oxygen. The earth's most powerful cleaner!”

While hydrogen peroxide is considered a natural cleaning agent, it is essential to “always wear gloves” when handling this product.

For this method, mix the baking soda and hydrogen peroxide to make a paste. Use about three parts of the bicarbonate of soda for one part of the hydrogen peroxide.

The next step is to spread the paste over the stubborn yellow stains and leave it to sit for 30 minutes.

Once the time is up, simply use a damp cloth to wipe the seat down to reveal a “brilliant white toilet seat”.
