Princess Kate is set to celebrate her 43rd birthday today, less than a year after being diagnosed with cancer.

While the Princess of Wales had a difficult year in 2024 as she underwent chemotherapy treatment, which she announced in September had recently ended, the future Queen is now set to face a hopefully brighter year ahead.

Although the plans for Princess Kate’s birthday are not yet known, it is likely the mum of three will celebrate at home with Prince William, 42, and their three children Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, nine, and Prince Louis, six.

It is also likely that Kate will be spoilt by her loved ones this year, with one annual homemade birthday present from her children set to be right at the top of the present pile.

As reported by BerkshireLive, a source told Closer magazine in 2020 that Kate had been given a thoughtful present from George, Charlotte and Louis, which is something believed to be done by the children every year.

This homemade present is reportedly a sweet collage of the children’s favourite family photographs, including those they have taken themselves.

The source told Closer in 2020 that the homemade collage is “somewhat of a family tradition”, with 2020 being the first year where photographs taken by the children themselves were also included.

This is something that photography fan Kate would have absolutely loved as a present, with the princess having a passion for taking photographs.

While a collage may be one of the presents the princess can expect, it is also likely she will be spoilt with some pampering gifts following her difficult year.

Former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond told OK!: “This birthday is going to be memorably in so many ways – it will mark the start of a new and hopefully happier year, and the end of one that has been brutal for the whole family.

“For her husband and children, this will be an excuse to spoil her rotten and, even though it falls on a school day, I’m sure that’s exactly what they’ll do.

“I imagine they will shower her with gifts – perhaps some pampering products like luxurious bath oils and scented candles.”

It is likely the princess will celebrate the big day at the family’s Adelaide Cottage home in Windsor.
