Meghan Markle appears ready to go solo in a "professional split" from Prince Harry - and the signs are there on her new Instagram account.

Meghan, 43, posted her first post on her new Instagram account - an account that was first made in June 2022.

Under the account that boasts the simple handle @meghan, the former working royal posted a new reel showing her running along the beach near their home in California.

The video, which is said to have been taken by Prince Harry, then shows Meghan bending down to write '2025' in the wet sand.

Over the last few months, Meghan has shown various signs that she is ready for a "professional split" with Harry - one of which is their frequent solo appearances.

As reported by the Mirror, Meghan and Harry have been photographed separately on various occasions, including both appearing in different states on December 5.

Harry, 40, attended the 2024 New York Times DealBook Summit, while Meghan stayed put in California to attend the Paley Honors Fall Gala alongside Tyler Perry.

The second sign is that Meghan has showed signs that she is on the path of "independent" identity. Previously speaking to The Sun, royal author Hugo Vickers said: "Harry's much better when he's on his own talking about things without her there. And perhaps she's better off doing what she does without him there because he always looks a little bit spare.

"You could suggest that she's making a move to be an independent person in her own right, I mean, we know who she is now, thanks to her marrying Prince Harry. She's got much more of an identity."

PR expert Mark Borkowski also, upon recently speaking to The Telegraph, said that Meghan often changes the narrative.

Mark explained: "They had to change the narrative. They need a venture that deflects from the failures. The charity aspect impresses upon everybody that he [Harry] does have value beyond the controversial stuff. It has the effect of separating them from the bad press and the failed content ideas. The punters still have time for Harry."

Lastly, Meghan's body language during recent appearance is also a sign that she is ready for a "professional split" from her husband of six years.

Body language expert Judi James previously told the Mirror: "Harry and Meghan's relationship seems to have evolved from a totally twinned one, where their body language was confined to appearances as a matching, complimentary and very royal-looking double act, to one that resembles the shape of a letter Y; joined and twinned at the base but also separating into two individuals moving into two rather separate professional directions..."
