Sky already has some of the best TV products in the business with the firm currently offering its customers a trio of ways to watch premium content. Right now, you can tune in via the older satellite-powered Sky Q system or switch to Sky Glass or Sky Stream which both use your internet access to beam content to the big screen.

As you can read in our Sky Q, Sky Stream and Sky Glass reviews, these are all top-rated gadgets but it seems Sky isn't resting on its laurels.

Express.co.uk recently received an email from the company which confirms something new is coming soon and it could be one to watch out for if you fancy an upgrade.

"Hello from Sky," the message reads.

"Be one of the first to see what's next. Smarter, brighter and better than ever."

That's all we know for now and Sky is staying tight-lipped about its plans...so what could be included in this blockbuster release?

We'll find out full details in February, but there are a few things Sky could announce next month. Firstly, its popular Sky Q boxes haven't been updated in years, and customers who still love these set-top devices would surely relish some intelligent new features, access to more content or an upgraded design.

What's more likely is a change to Sky's streaming platforms, as the firm wants more of us to switch over to these products. The fact the message says 'brighter' could also hint at an update to Sky's popular Glass TVs.

These all-in-one screens - which even include a soundbar - were first released all the way back in 2021 and haven't been refreshed since that date.

Some early Glass reviews were critical of the original QLED display on these tellies so Sky might now be addressing this gripe with something more advanced.

Sky Stream might also be in for a refresh or perhaps the telly firm will surprise us all and launch something completely new.
