Teary Luke Littler carrying the world on his shoulders at World Championship | Other | Sport

Luke Littler has become the most captivating athlete on the planet. Every time he steps up to the oche he produces something even more remarkable than the last.

Only few sportsmen have ever had such an impact. It's Tiger Woods, Roger Federer and Lionel Messi-esque.

But when Littler broke down in tears on stage it was a stark reminder that this is still a child.

Reality hit home that this boy is carrying the world on his shoulders. Not many 17-year-olds have ever had to deal with this amount of pressure, especially not at such a tender age.

It is very easy to forget. The way he carries himself is way beyond his years. Yet he still can’t vote, get a tattoo or buy a pint.

It’s no surprise that Littler has been given the prime Saturday night spot again tonight.

And no doubt the nation will be brought to a standstill while his arrows fly through the air.

Katie Boulter

THERE's nothing quite like testing a relationship than facing each other in elite-level sport, apparently.

Katie Boulter says she "isn't thrilled" at the prospect of playing fiance Alex de Minaur in mixed doubles at the United Cup on Tuesday.

It's probably best to travel in separate cars to this one.
