Get a Samsung phone for less with EE's £20 deal

If you’re in the market for a new phone this New Year and are keen to get the best bang for your buck in the Boxing Day sale, tech giant EE has launched a handful of deals that can see you bagging the likes of a Samsung Galaxy A35 for £216 less.

With a vibrant 6.6" AMOLED 120Hz screen, a front 13MP and triple rear cameras, and a 5,000mAh battery, the phone comes in four different decorative colours including navy, lilac, lemon yellow and light blue. While it doesn't compare to the like of the Galaxy S24 it's a decent performing model, and it now comes with a much cheaper price.

EE's sale means you can cut the price of this budget-friendly mobile and pick a data plan to use with it. As the provider cuts £216 off the price.

If you want to go to the next level, you can get the phone for £33 a month instead of £36, which is part of the ‘Unlimited Essentials Plus’ plan. Also on offer is the Unlimited All Rounder Plan, now £39 a month instead of the usual £42, it includes ultra HD video and 4K gaming.

Splitting the cost across a contract is a great opportunity to bag the the impressive smart phone without paying a hefty cost upfront. And EE comes out on top compared to O2.

O2 shoppers will pay a smaller £10 upfront fee but its 30GB data plan (with the device) is much more expensive, at £60.13 per month. For another comparison, you only need to look at the newer Samsung S24 model - which is slightly smaller and lighter - to see the huge price jump, as before data this costs EE shoppers from £50 per month and with an upfront fee of £30.

The nifty Samsung A35 model has been showered in praise by tech fans, with one shopper declaring it as: “A phone with a lot of functionality and a good one in every sense.” Another said it was ‘the best’, adding: “I love taking spectacular photos and I love the functions it has.”

With a battery life that exceeds a day, according to the website, another fan of the model said: “It works very well, the battery lasts a day and a half even with a lot of use, it has good image quality.” The ‘only bad thing’ they note ‘for my taste is that it is too big’.

Another said: “The back slides very easily on any surface you place it on, with a minimum tilt” - with this in mind, it might be wise to get a case they can rectify this negative point.

Not a Samsung fan? With boxing day sales still in full swing, there are plenty of other deals to snap up before the year is out. For example, you can bag yourself the Apple iPhone 16 Pro Max AT O2 and save up to £144 on tariffs until January 8 here.

Or get a Google Pixel 9 Pro and save up to £600 on tariffs until January 8.  Over at Very, you can get the Honor Magic V2 in Purple outright for £799 instead of £1699, almost a £1000 saving.
