King Charles has granted Royal Warrants of Appointment to almost 400 companies including Champagne Bollinger, Enterprise Rent-A-Car, Heinz Foods and Molton Brown, it has been announced today.

Buckingham Palace said the warrants previously held by Queen Elizabeth have been reviewed and that 386 of those businesses will continue to hold warrants from the King.

In addition, Queen Camilla has granted seven new royal warrants, including her favoured fashion designers Anna Valentine, and Fiona Clare, as well as her Mayfair hairdresser Jo Hansford and favoured hat designer Philip Treacy.

It follows 152 grants in May 2024 for companies which had held a warrant to the King as Prince of Wales, and brings to a close the review of Royal Warrants following the death of the late monarch.

The warrant itself is a document that permits a company to use the Royal Arms in connection with its business, including on products and packaging.

Businesses chosen by the Palace represent a range of industries, from heritage crafts to clothing and food manufacturers.

Popular brands feature on the list, including Nestle, The Pimm’s Company, The Royal British Legion Poppy Factory Limited and Samsung Electronics.

Applications for new royal warrants from the King and Queen are being considered, and an announcement is expected in spring 2025.

Fashion designer Anna Valentine said she was "honoured" to be appointed by the Queen: "It is a wonderful recognition for the team of 16 highly skilled artisans employed at the Anna Valentine atelier in Marylebone, and a testament to Her Majesty's loyalty, which is greatly appreciated.

"Anna Valentine has designed clothing for Her Majesty since 2002, including the dress for Her Majesty's wedding to His Majesty the King in 2005."

Hairdresser Jo Hansford said: "It's a real honour to be granted a royal warrant from The Queen, who I have been proud to have as a client for more than three decades.

"I think it is particularly wonderful that the Queen has awarded it to an all-female owned and run business. It really shows that with grit and determination, you can achieve truly incredible things."

Meanwhile, Sanderson Design Group, suppliers of Sanderson wallpapers, paints and fabrics, was also granted a royal warrant by the King.

The firm's CEO, Lisa Montague, said: "It is a privilege to continue our 100-year relationship with the Royal Households, and we are honoured to support His Majesty King Charles III, as we did with his mother, grandfather, and great-grandfather before him.

"From a historic factory visit by the Duke of York in 1924 to our first awarded Warrant as Purveyor of Wallpapers and Paints to King George V, marking the first time such a Warrant was granted for these products, these are the remarkable moments in our history that we cherish."
