There’s just over a week left to go until Christmas so shoppers don’t have long left to stock up on chocolates in time for the big day.

Supermarkets are dropping prices on most of the seasonal favourites, including Quality Street and Celebrations tubs, but if Toblerone and Terry’s Chocolate Orange are more to your taste then you want to make sure you’re getting the cheapest deal.

Chocolate fans are urged to visit Asda to get the cheapest deal on Toblerone ahead of Christmas, as you can currently pick up a large 360g bar for just £4.

Tesco and Sainsbury’s are selling the same size bars for £4 as well, but there is a catch at these stores.

To get the £4 deal you’ll need to be a Tesco Clubcard or Nectar card holder, as the offer is limited to loyalty customers only. So if you’re not a member of either of these schemes then you’ll have to pay the more expensive sum of £6.

If you don’t have a Clubcard you can register for one online for free and earn points for every £1 spent at Tesco. These points can be turned into vouchers, with every 150 points giving you £1.50 in Clubcard vouchers. Sainbury's shoppers can sign up for a Nectar card online and will earn one point for every £1 spent in store or online, and one point for every litre of fuel at Sainsbury’s petrol stations, when you swipe or scan your Nectar card at the checkout.

Waitrose currently has an offer on 360g Toblerone bars and is selling them for the slightly higher price of £4.25, reduced from £7.50.

Elsewhere, Morrisons is selling the bars for £6 with a More card while at the Co-op buying the same size bar will also set you back £6.

As for Terry’s Chocolate Orange, the cheapest supermarkets to pick up the standard 157g box is at Aldi and Tesco. 

Both supermarkets are selling the festive favourite for just £1.49, with Tesco price matching Aldi on the product.

You’ll have to pay a penny more at Asda, Sainsbury’s and the Co-op which are all selling the chocolate orange ball for £1.50, although again you’ll need a Nectar card at Sainsbury’s to get this price. If you don’t have a Nectar card you’ll have to pay a bit more at £1.95.

But this price is still cheaper than at Morrisons and Waitrose which are both selling the same product for £2.
