Filmmaker Tyler Perry simply replied with a two-word response when asked about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's move to the US.

The 55-year-old, who has worked on a wide variety of Hollywood films, was asked during his interview for The Sunday Times whether he had offered the couple any advice when they moved to California in 2020. He simply replied, "I didn't".

Tyler, who is also Princess Lilibet's godfather, lent the couple his Californian mansion when they first moved from the UK to the US.

Speaking to the publication, Tyler added: "Meghan is from California. She knows California well. So there was nothing to prepare them for..."

Meghan and Harry, who had married less than two years prior, announced their plans to step down from royal duties in January 2020. The couple, who only had their son - now aged five - at the time, then moved to the US. They later welcomed Lilibet - now aged three - in 2021.
