Next Bond favourite Aaron Taylor Johnson launches Kraven the Hunter first 8 mins | Films | Entertainment

Having originally been screened at New York Comic Con, Aaron Taylor-Johnson has today launched the opening eight minutes of his new blockbuster movie, Kraven the Hunter.

The bookies’ favourite to be cast as the next James Bond stars as the Spider-Man villain in the latest Sony spin-off.

In the prison break opening sequence, the 34-year-old shows off his action talents and buff physique, proving he’s a strong contender to take up the Licence to Kill after Daniel Craig

The film’s official synopsis reads: “Kraven the Hunter is the action-packed, standalone story of how one of Marvel’s most iconic villains came to be. Aaron Taylor-Johnson plays Kraven, a man whose complex relationship with his ruthless gangster father, Nikolai Kravinoff (Russell Crowe), starts him down a path of vengeance with brutal consequences, motivating him to become not only the greatest hunter in the world, but also one of its most feared.”

The non-MCU Marvel movie co-stars Ariana DeBose, Fred Hechinger, Alessandro Nivola, Christopher Abbott and Russell Crowe. The latter has also played Superman’s father in DC’s Man of Steel and Zeus in the MCU’s Thor Love and Thunder.

Kraven the Hunter opens in UK cinemas on December 13, 2024.
