Arsenal and West Ham fans clashed in the stands and brawled while their teams were on the pitch in their Premier League clash on Saturday evening.

Allegedly, Gunners supporters were spotted inside one of the home stand, where their opposing fanbase should have been residing - kicking off the ugly scenes.

Some fans could be seen escorted out of the area by London Stadium stewards after the Hammers faithful made their presence known.

Angry fans were fighting and had to be pulled away by their fellow matchgoers as sour scenes surrounded Arsenal's 5-2 victory, with all seven goals scored in the first half.

The Gunners put up four without reply inside 36 minutes, prompting many home supporters to leave the stadium early and decide against watching the remainder of the match.

They missed two home goals in quick succession, though those caught up in the unsavoury scenes will have missed Aaron Wan-Bissaka's goal as they instead were focused on Arsenal fans inside their stand.

On the pitch, there was a small scrap after man-of-the-match Bukayo Saka was on the receiving end of a heavy foul. But West Ham became his latest victim as the England star continued his rich vein of form.

He provided assists for Gabriel and Leandro Trossard in the first half before winning a penalty which captain Martin Odegaard tucked away.

After West Ham goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski punched Gabriel at a corner, referee Anthony Taylor awarded another spot kick, which Saka then dispatched for his fifth Premier League goal of the season.

"I am taking a lot of pleasure from creating and scoring but the greatest pleasure is to win," Saka told Sky Sports after dismantling West Ham. "Let's keep this form going. Definitely the last three games we have been back."

The 23-year-old and his skipper shared penalty duties, seemingly given one another a chance to add to their tallies, as Saka explained how grateful he was to have his partner in crime back from injury.

“It was nice," he added. "Martin is a top player, he’s been playing so good since he’s come back and he wanted to take the penalty to score today. I’m more than happy to give him the ball because he always gives me the ball!”
