King Charles issues devastating plea to William and Harry | Royal | News

King Charles reportedly expressed his deep distress over the ongoing feud between his sons, Prince William and Prince Harry, in a brief yet poignant nine-word statement.

The alleged plea for reconciliation came during a tense exchange following Prince Philip's funeral.

This revelation was made in Prince Harry's memoir Spare, where he detailed the challenging encounter with his father and brother after their grandfather's funeral.

This incident occurred just weeks after Harry and Meghan's explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey, which was viewed by millions globally and significantly strained their relationship with other members of the Royal family.

Prince Philip's funeral was held under strict COVID-19 social distancing measures, limiting the attendance to only 30 mourners.

Consequently, Harry attended the ceremony alone, as Meghan, who was pregnant at the time, remained in California with their son Archie.

In his memoir, Prince Harry recounts a particularly intense altercation with his brother William, which escalated to the point where their father Charles intervened.

He exclaimed "Enough" and followed up with the heartbreaking nine words: "Please, boys Don't make my final years a misery."

The Duke of Sussex noted that Charles's voice "sounded raspy, fragile. It sounded, if I'm being honest, old," as he begged them to stop arguing.

The chilly relationship between Harry, his brother, and his father appears to remain unresolved since that emotionally charged episode following Prince Philip's passing in 2021.

Despite Harry's attendance at the late Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations in the subsequent year, and shortly after the official mourning period for the late monarch, the family rift seems not to have fully healed.

In the wake of Harry's memoir release, The Sun disclosed that he and Meghan had been "evicted" from Frogmore Cottage, their UK home given to them by the late Queen after their marriage.

Reports suggest King Charles intends to offer the property to his younger sibling, Prince Andrew, who is trying to cling on to Royal Lodge.
