One in four Brits say watching Christmas films is their favourite festive tradition | Films | EntertainmentOne in four Brits said watching Christmas films was their favourite Christmas tradition, with a third claiming it as the ultimate way to feel festive. As such it was revealed that three in 10 adults deem it perfectly fine to commence watching Christmas films as early as 25 November. The survey of 2,000 individuals who celebrate Christmas found the majority disagreed that festive films should be reserved for December, some even said they would watch them all year long. Family favourites; Home Alone, Love Actually and A Christmas Carol were crowned as the top three festive films of all time. Interestingly, nearly half (46%) of respondents said they can recite lines from their favourite Christmas film word for word. The study was conducted by Disney+ in conjunction with the launch of its Home Alone Experience, which transports visitors to 90s Chicago, the setting of the iconic Christmas film. The research explored other Yuletide traditions that Britons enjoy each year, with Secret Santa gifts now leading the pack. Other popular activities include festive baking (28%) and crafting homemade Christmas decorations (17%), while 24% of respondents have taken part in a festive photo shoot with friends and family. This trend is particularly prevalent among younger generations, who are opting for sharing festive photos online over traditional Christmas cards. The Home Alone trilogy can now be streamed on Disney+. Source link Posted: 2024-11-22 09:43:45 |
